Welcome.
A little bit about me, my name is Bob and I’m a 23 year old BGSU alumn. I hold a Bachelors in Science of Education, with a minor in history. I currently teach High School Social Studies; I’m a first year teacher in poverty-stricken city right outside of Atlanta, GA.
I started blogging about 5 years ago as a way to keep in touch with friends when I moved away at college. Since I’ve started, it’s morphed from talking about personal issues, to just everyday things, entertainment, sports, politics, tech, random humor and anything else that’s on my mind. The focus of this blog though, is going to focus more on current events, and world issues. As of late, it’s also started to spin more into my own personal journey as a first year teacher.
I’m constantly thinking about writing, and things to write about. So this place is updated pretty frequently. Usually every other day, sometimes twice a day.
Enjoy.

I have always dreamed of becoming a teacher, but I can’t afford a diploma as of this moment.
So I want to tell you to not give up. The world needs people like you.

Hey–Just wanted to invite you to my newest blog, Christian Teacher Forum here at WordPress. If you happen to be a Christian and be teaching at the same time, it might be a good resource for you especially if you are looking for a connection point. Oh, yeah, and if you want to teach in Panama instead of Atlanta, we are hiring overseas teachers to teach middle school English, History and Math.

Tuesday is the last day of post-planning for me, and then I will have survived my first year of teaching! I must say that for as difficult as it was my first year, now that school is over, it feels wierd to not constantly worry about school.
Do you have plans for the summer? Some of the teachers at my school warned me not to teach summer school. They said that they money was great but that you will want to leave the teaching profession, so I would stay away from that. Anyways, nice to see that you survived your first year of teaching. I know I messed up a lot my first year also, but it is a big feeling of accomplishment to know that I just did not quit. You should feel proud too.
